Stay In Control This Winter
Driving in winter weather can be difficult depending on the weather conditions facing you. Here are some tips to help you stay in control when adverse weather heads your way:
-Avoid driving when you are tired. This time of year there's so much going on, but making sure you are properly rested can help you reduce any unnecessary driving risks.
-Check your tire pressure.
-Keep your gas tank half full to avoid any freeze-ups in your lines.
-Make sure if the road is slippery that you do not use cruise control.
-If you must drive in bad weather conditions, let others know where you are going, what time you are leaving, and when you expect to arrive at your destination.
-When driving in the snow, accelerate and decelerate slowly. Allow yourself more stopping distance and use the ball of your foot to apply the brakes.
