Ready for Fall Kickoff?
Kick off this fall season right! Now that school is back in session, summer vacations are coming to an end, and cooler weather is headed for us, there is no better time to do some preventative maintenance.
Don't let winter sneak up on your vehicle. There are some things you can do now to make sure you stay on the road:
-Experiencing any engine troubles? If your vehicle is starting with difficulty, idling roughly, stalling, etc., get it checked out by a professional. Those problems can become even worse when colder temperatures hit.
-Keep your tank filled with fuel as well as add a de-icer once a month. This helps keep moisture from freezing and keeping it filled will help prevent moisture from getting into the tank.
-Change that oil. Make sure that your oil is changed every 3,000 miles.
-Have your heater and defroster checked - to ensure good working conditions in the coming cooler weather.
-Replace your windshield wipers. This will help fight ice build up.
-Replace worn tires. You will need better traction in the winter - ensure you don't have uneven or worn tread, and check for cuts or nicks in the sidewalls.
-Check your emergency kit - make sure you are prepared for the worst, with shovels, blankets, flares, and more.
