Did you know that August is Brake Safety Awareness month?

Your brake system is one of the most important safety systems in your vehicle.  According to the Car Care Council, August is the best time to get your brakes inspected - before more drivers are on the road when school begins and before cooler weather hits.

Brakes should be inspected at least once per year and should include such things as checking the condition of the hoses, lines, rotor thickness, and a test drive to ensure they are working properly.  Warning signs include your vehicle pulling to one side or the other or hearing noise when you stop.  Certain driving habits can increase brake wear:  Click here for more information.
