Summer is a great time to hit the road and travel to new and exciting places.  Before you take off, here are some tips to follow to make sure your vehicle is ready.

1. Get your car inspected.  Make sure you have your entire vehicle serviced so that it can take you where you want to go.

2. Rest.  Giving yourself extra time to get to your destination not only makes your trip more enjoyable, it will also give your vehicle a rest which can lead to less breakdowns.

3. Bring some tools.  You never know when you might need something for a small repair.

4. 15 hours per day - max.  Give yourself plenty of stretch breaks and rest.  Tired driving can lead to accidents.

5. Don't speed.  It can be easy to push that pedal, but driving at higher speeds makes your car work a lot harder than it does at the speed limit.
