1.  Clean Any Salt off the Undercarriage

Salt can eat away your undercarriage so it's important to make sure it is clean.

2.  Check the Tires

Warmer temperatures mean a change in tire pressures so you want to ensure you have the proper pressure as recommended in your owner's manual.

3.  Check the Wiper Blades

The life expectancy of a wiper blade is 6 months to one year and they work hard all winter keeping snow, dirt, and other debris clear from your view.

4.  Rotate the Tires

This simple procedure can actually extend the tread life of your tires and it is recommended to be done every 5,000 to 10,000 miles.

5.  Change the Oil and Filter

Ensuring you have clean oil means that your engine is running smoothly and getting the lubrication it needs which is vital in preventing severe damage and even breakdowns.

6.  Change the Air Filter

The air filter prevents dust and other debris from weakening engine performance, and a clean filter can mean improving gas mileage by as much as 10 percent.

7.  Flush and Fill the Cooling System

This guards against engine failure and is recommended to be done every 2 years or 24,000 miles.

8.  Check the Radiator and Gas Caps
