About Bastian Tire & Auto Centers
When "Smilin'" Jack Bastian opened his first tire store in
Williamsport in 1958, he knew a lot about tires, but even more
about people. He always had a way of getting to know his customers
and just what they needed. Today, we keep up this tradition. Our
customers really trust Bastian Tire and Auto Centers when it comes
to taking excellent care of their vehicles.
"Today, we're a high-tech operation," says Mike Bastian,
second-generation owner. "But, it's not just technology that we
pride ourselves on - it's also that we still know most of our
customers on a first-name basis. We're not an impersonal chain
franchise that has different personnel every time the customer
walks in."
It's the combination of the latest technology and
old-fashioned customer service that has propelled Bastian Tire and
Auto Centers from their small shop in 1958 to one of the largest
tire operations in the Northeast region with two locations in
Williamsport, Shamokin Dam, Bloomsburg, State College, Wellsboro
and Lewisburg. As well, the 1973 opening of their tire retread
plant and tire distribution center on Reach Road, Williamsport.
Plans are in the works for more retail locations in the future.
"It's because we've always emphasized professional car care
that we've grown at the rate we have over the years," said Mike
Bastian, owner. "Our customers rely on us to make sure they are
driving a safe and reliable vehicle. It's up to us to earn that
confidence."
